It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice… or take a stand… or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. Written by Jason Robert Brown (PARADE, BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, and THE LAST FIVE YEARS), this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love, and the choices we make. Queen City Concerts brings this song-cycle to the intimate Stage Door Theatre with a new imagining for America: the BIPOC experience on identity in the current state of the nation. We follow the journeys of Man 1, Man 2, Woman 1, and Woman 2 as they navigate the present, grapple with a tumultuous past, and long for a hopeful future. With music that will make you laugh, cry, and feel the moment with each passing phrase, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is just that: songs for the America we love, the America we miss, and the America we pray will exist for our future generations.
