International Slam
The Charlotte International Art Festival will host one of the largest invitational poetry slams in the country. A high-energy competition of words in the form of WORD SPORTS! Audiences are not only engaged thru the power of poetry but also become the JUDGE of which poet will away walk with the title of POETRY CHAMP!
The invited poets range from World and National slam champions, appearances on Jimmy Fallon, award-winning, viral success, legends, and legends in the making. It is the best of the best from around the country converging on Charlotte for an epic day of Slam Poetry! YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!
Poets such as Buddy Wakefield from Portugal and many more will be in the building. The slam will run two preliminary rounds in the afternoon, and a final round that evening.
