I am José R. Urbina, a visual artist originally from Guatemala, now based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a desire to investigate how interactions, no matter how small, impact those involved. Plastic has caught my attention as it is a material that is intertwined with the modern human experience. Although we interact with it daily, we often overlook the impact of these interactions both on ourselves and our environment. In my work, I aim to explore our relationship with plastic and the positive and negative repercussions of these interactions.
100 Tiny Thing "Cookies"
I will make small installations with my post consumer plastic and resin pieces that look like tiny plastic mountains or hills.
